Note 3 + Gear, the Perfect Match

Samsung Galaxy Note 3 was launched yesterday in Singapore and the Galaxy Gear will be here in early October. The latest phablet device by Samsung is faster, bigger (screen) yet slimmer than Note/Note 2.

Note/Note 2 users should not try to play with the Note 3 as one could really feel the improvements in Note 3 and the urge to get one will increase tremendously. This is especially so if you use the S Pen and S Note a lot – it is easier to write and save notes now with the improved S Pen and the new Air Command (shortcuts to everything you need with the S Pen).

The Galaxy Gear, a smartwatch, is compatible with Note 3. One can answer or make calls with the Gear even if the phone is a distance away. With the Memographer, one can take pictures instantly without digging out the phone. It is pretty easy to navigate the Gear by swiping and I think that’s the whole idea – to make it simple and fit only the essential apps into it.

Time to say hello to Note 3 and maybe the Gear too. Smile

Hello NOTE 2!

I couldn’t wait to rush home and unbox the Samsung Galaxy Note 2! I held it in my hands and it was like shouting for me to open it up.

A quick look at the things that come with NOTE 2 – charger, ear piece, warranty card, etc etc.

Just look at the difference between NOTE 2 and my previous phone. The size of the NOTE 2 is really impressive – with the 5.5 inches screen, watching videos, editing documents, playing games and so on and on and on… will be like a breeze….. weee!

I WAS THERE

Source: Samsung Mobile Singapore Facebook Page

I was lucky enough to be selected for the inaugural edition of the ‘I WAS THERE’ by Samsung Mobile Singapore. I spent an evening at the BistroBar by Da Paolo, enjoyed the food and played with the latest offering by Samsung Mobile Singapore, ie the Samsung Galaxy Camera!

The Samsung Galaxy Camera has a 4.8” touch screen and it operates on the Android Jellybean 4.1.1. Yes, you hear right, it operates on the latest version of the Android OS. It is even possible to connect via 3G or Wifi and then upload the photos straight away to Instagram, Facebook and Twitter!

And the camera comes with many special modes and my favourite one got to be the ‘BEST FACE’. When this mode is selected, the camera takes 5 photos and then you can select the best picture of each person and then merge them into one photo. That simply means that, we don’t have to worry about unglam photos where people closed their eyes at that click of the camera.

I am actually thinking of getting this camera for my trip to Japan, Cambodia and Thailand. The special modes seem to satisfy my requirements and take the kind of photos that I like. Oh and the 21x optical zoom is pretty amazing and I can take clear photos from a distance away. Cool, huh.
