Very very simple and remember to do so before 26 March 2012, 10am!!
The McDonald’s at Marine Cove will be operating for the last time after 30 years on this Sunday (18th March 2012). Together with the other restaurants and shops, the area will be returned to the government for future development.
I remembered last time, whenever we went to East Coast Park, we always met at this McDonald’s. It has become part of us and yet it has to go. Well, we are staying in Singapore where change is the only constant.
So we had a class outing and had our last meal at this restaurant.
It had been a great meeting place. ^^
So yeah, I went back to Bedok FCC to take my IPPT for 2011. The weather was gloomy but thankfully it didn’t rain, YEAH!!!
Bedok FCC used to be my second home and there were so much memories from that place. Being the first FCC to implement the electronic IPPT system, we had lots of work to do.
Although cleaning was not part of our jobscope, I remembered clearly how one particular encik made us cleaned the toilet. Yes, the toilet. Just once and that was because some big shot was coming. Oh well… those were the days…
Anyway, I suddenly realised that the PTIs were quite cocky – super cocky. That was exactly how I was like N years back. My mentality was that NSmen are lazy to train and that is the reason why so many couldn’t pass.
Now, after working for a while, I realised many NSmen want to exercise but have no time. Because of this reason, failing their IPPT is something that they have come to accept.
No time is definitely not a good excuse but we should make an effort to work out whenever possible. Get Active, Stay Healthy!
Let others alight first so that there will be space in the train carriages for everybody else to board. I mean, if you block the train doors there will be a ‘human jam’ wasting everybody’s time.
Other then saving time, it will be safer as well. The trains stop for less than a minute at the stations, hence, it is common sense to board or alight fast.
This is something that everyone can do well, we just need to constantly remind ourselves and we will have more enjoyable rides.
