Well well well... it has been some time since i lost my previous template. So i guess it is about time i start to re-do up my blog... Okay, i hereby declare... Upgrading in progress...



Wooo... X-MeN screening today... I wanna watch... heard that it is the best among the three...

With that, the pageant, Mister Singapore 2006, ended.

Well, hmm… it has been great. Being able to see how the showbiz function. I know this is like just a bit of what the real showbiz is like… but I guess it is good enough. Finally, it is over and life should get back to normal. Well, I am still an engineering student. Life has indeed been spiced up because of this event. And, there were some freebies as well, like the CleverWhite tooth whitening kit, the NUM attires (which seems to be wore before by somebody else… hmmmm…), one set of crocodile outfit (which resembles the SBStransit bus driver outfit… wooo…)

About the flow of the show, feedbacks from my friends were not very good. And I agreed with them as well. There were many “funny incidents” happening here and there, like when Alan was talking, the music suddenly “appeared” of nowhere. And, the wrong music was played for Raphael to come on to stage. The mike always seems to have some problem. And to be frank, Celine wasn’t really a good host, Alan pulled her closer to him as her position was off the camera. Denis was like saying, “ I don’t see how this pageant is a big event…” Guess, the stage engineers got to buck up or something.

Then at the back stage, a few particular contestants who was not in the top 10 like me were making some noise. I am quite okay for not being in the top 10. It actually relieves me and I felt happier as the competition has ended early for me. I enjoyed the rest of the show, of course minus-ing the technical screw up. Alright, Mr EC was like saying, “ I can’t believe this… I am a Manhunt 4th runner up and yet I didn’t get into the top 10 for this… what the hell… “and I clearly remembered the other time, during the “Ideal one contest” where I first met him, when he didn’t get a single stalk of rose, he was saying “ this contest is screwed up lah… “well… I must admit he got a never-say-die spirit, but I think he doesn’t have the sportsmanship leh. Then, another contestant, WC was like saying “#$%#@#... let’s change and leave… “

It was nice of Celine to invite us over to her house to chill out. Well, Dennis was there, so was me, Kenneth, Terence, Terry, Iain, Adophlus, Adrian, Gina and Adrian. And, that's all. Where's the rest ?? Who knows... but we had fun lah... especially when we talked about "somebody"... haha... had pizza, oops... i haven't pay leh... then mahjong !! I wanted to leave at 11pm with the fireboys... but... i was "conned" to stay to continue playing... i always view those who played with me for the first time as future khakis... so hopefully... we will get to play again lah... and... i want to win back my $12 !!

Last but not least... I am so sorry Nike... I didn't meant to send you the wrong Adventure21 logo... guess it will be hard to explain to Gordon. Really really sorry...

Life is good... especially when u got enough sleep... haha... finally, after the presentation show on Wednesday, i managed to grab a whole day of sleep. After which, went to Tan Tock Seng Hospital to see Ian (Punggol) who was involved in a serious accident. He looks pretty alright now, still unconscious but his condition is improving. Met his mom, she looks okay, probably relieved at the fact that Ian's is getting better. Haiz... must be really sad for her... heard that Ian was badly hit at his abdomen area... his liver and stomach and intestine was partially cut and remove, he broke his right arm. Although i don't know him very well, but i must say i really feel sad for him. It just makes me value life even more, one will never know what will happen the next minute...

Then, the presentation show was okay. Crocodile, evening wear and swim wear. I had felt a bit off coz i realised i didn't have a lot of people cheering for me. But in fact, that is not a bad thing, if there were like 20 people waiting to see me, in a way or another, i will get very stressed out. SO, in the end, i might not do well. Haiz.. was thinking of asking those who bought the tics for this saturday not to come. Coz, if i am not in the top 10, they won't see much of me. So...

By typing "mister singapore" in blogger search, i found many blogs with people writing crude remarks abt mr spore's contestants... some are funny but most are rather "fierce" remark.

a bit happier

Well well well... today went to the APB with etpSIX ppl. It sure was a great experience, especially the drinking part... but then i guess that was the only fun part. Other than that, we were shoved around the factory looking at huge containers and the bottles and cans which we can't touch nor drink. So when we finally finished the walk, all of us were very excited... coz free flow of beer is the reason of us being there. haha... drank tiger which was good, very fresh. drank coke which tasted better than the one sold in the Fairprice. drank a bit of anchor, baron, heineken here and there... i still prefer tiger... it was really free flow at $2 !! If the bus didn't come at 3.30pm, i guess we would have played "zhong ji mi ma" till donno when...

Anyway, after which we went back to school to finish our presentation rehearsal. which turns out to be another round of ...
i would blog that out another time... now tired... very tired... slightly happier than yesterday. for those who suddenly want to buy my tickets... thanks... donno what got into you guys... donno what to say but thanks!!

kind of hard to sell mr spore tickets, haiz... why ? i don't really know. those who say they will consider in the end say they got something on. bloody worse, those who promised to go... fly me airplane... that is so sad sad sad... so, are they still my friends ?? whatever the reasons they have, i do hope that more people can come and give me some support...

Not that i don't have the confidence, just that, i know and i can see that the eventual winner will not be me. Competition is tough, and i must say, the exposure and the experience so far are great. Priceless. And, there are some fun people that i have knew thru this competition. Like the boss Alan, make up artist "Han Xiang Gong", ex-ChannelU producer Men, and of course the Fire dudes - Terence, Iain and Adolpus. Very soon, this pageant will end and everybody will go back to their own life again. this is what we call, 天下无不散宴席

plus the ODAC stuffs are pulling me down, i am feeling kind of lost... the momentum is gone. but for one thing, i am not going to quit instead i got to pull myself up again. Pumpfest and ATC coming soon but i am not feeling as excited about it as 2 months again... why why why ?

not really happy

gosh... it has been sometime since i last blogged...

hmmm... has been rushing thru the EN102 business plan for the past few days.
Monday, slept at 3am-8am
Tuesday, no sleep at all
Wednesday, 10am-12pm
Thursday, 7am-10am

Is kind of a madness as i don't even do this during the exam period. but then, as we strived to produce the best business plan, this is nothing bah. But then, i must admit, when it comes to the financial side, i can't help much. the balance sheet, cash flow budget, P&L, bad debts and stuffs... bulks of numbers... woooo... not easy man... too bad i am not trained in this area, otherwise i would have helped Stella and Jacq. On our side, Albert, me, Yumin and Neo are working hard too... but then... i was wondering, whether the sleepless nights was worth it. as i heard from the other group that they managed to grab enough sleeps thru out the few days... hmmm... so, i guess something must be wrong somewhere...

Well, the business plan has been submitted in, so what's next that is coming up is the presentation. which i think will be different from my previous presentation, the effective comm and tech comm ones... hopefully we can achieve better results as i think we can do it.

then friday, i went JB with terence and seth and sam. wooo... lotsa of people... as it is Vesak day. many many many people... it was still okay at the Spore custom, but when we reached the JB side, it was madness... all the booths are filled with people... so we joined the quenes and an uncle approached us...

"where do you wanna go ?? Holiday plaza ?? i can drive you there, can clear custom very fast. Less than 10minutes... RM10 each... "

I was like, hello, are you trying to 趁火打劫 ?? it was really tempting to agree to his deal... wooo... but then, since we are not rushing for time, it doesn't really matter... so we deny the offer and he made some lousy comments... well, i was then thinking... we must admit this, without Sporean who cross over to Jb to shop, to eat, to watch a movie... would Jb have what it has bwcome today ? My answer is a big No-No...

then, once we cleared the custom, we headed for holiday plaza, the one place with the most number of pirated dvds shop... have to buy a set a suit for the presentation show on wednesday. walk here and walk there, then here and there again... finally, settled at a shop after 3hrs plus... very tiring... that's why i don't like to shop.

the tickets for the presentation show and the main event is really bothering me. the number is just not moving... stress leh...

the past few days of insufficient sleeps plus the walking-around-jb really tires me out.... and i still here... trying to blog something interesting... but i guessed i failed... Yawnz....... but... who cares...

How ?
Start work at 5pm till 10pm @ the GoldenShoe Carpark office (CBD area) where there are phones and computers.

You will be given a list of names and numbers to call. Once the person is contacted, a 3 minute screening will have to be conducted. Once it is done, you will get $1.50 for that.

Then proceed with the survey proper. Once completed, you will get $3.

So, a successful screening and survey will earn you $4.50.

Is more of a OTOT work, each night must try to hit at least 10 successful screening and surveys.

When start ?
Starting from 8th May, Monday. Don't have to work everynight, can select the nights. But once you have given me your schedules, please try to commit to it.

Exam is finally over !! YEah !! Hurray.... What a relief... but then... there is this unbearable headache... that is bugging me... i don feel sick but weak. Why is this happening ? Argh.... trust this to happen when i finally can start to play...

But, taking a look at my schedule, there isn't much time for me to play... coz many many many many things are coming in... classes next week, MSORG, ODAC stuffs... woooo... exciting...

Mummy : that is PAP's logo, it is in red, white and blue with a lightning in the middle. And over there is the SDA's logo.

little gal : i like the PAP's logo more... coz got lightning.

Well, it sounds kind of kiddy, since it involves a 4 yr old little gal. (i aga aga guess one)

I just felt that this conversation is like... so innocent... plain reason for choosing what she wants. So, does that means she will be a PAP supporter when she grows up ? I don't know, it is hard to say. When Chelsea is playing a match with clubs like fulham, even though i am not a fulham's supporter, i will still hope that it will win. This is like a reverse psycho effect i guess. So, does the post 65-ers also have this thinking ? But of course, at the end of the day, we must still see who has more creditibility and who is capable to make our home a better one.

Why don't we have Mr Roti Prata or Miss Nasi Lemak also ?

Nah, the title is just for fun. Just like me joining the contest, is for fun. Really!! For the experience and the exposure. Well, hmmm, actually the prizes are very attractive... but that is not the main thing. The main objective is to have fun and enjoy it. Since i don't see the chances of me getting the title, so i guess i will just see how lah.

Come to think of it, being in the Dinner and Dance committee last year, the operational methods of the Mister Spore committee is about the same. Sourcing for sponsors, going for fittings, photoshoot, etc. Even the part about selling tickets, which rely on the contestants, is the same. This is a message from the boss :

Each contestants has to sell 10 pairs of tickets tothe Presentation Show at $ 18 per ticket that includes a drink; and 5 pairsof tickets to The Main Event at $ 25 per ticket.

Arghhh... so many tickets, how to clear ?? Headache... Big headache...

Haizzz... exam is not yet over, but because i survived hell week (4 papers in 4 continuous days), everything seems to be easier. Hopefully exam can be over soon, then that is the time i will be freed. So, anybody wanna help me clear my tickets ??

Had MOS yesterday... not ministry of sound but rather... Mind over Stress... haha... the paper was quite okay... well... if you know how to crap, you can do it. Haz...


Anyway, after the paper i went to Bugis, coz got free tickets to the movie, "Daisy", by jeon ji hyun. She's the sassy gal lah... remember... haha... she graced the event and boy was she tall... got nice legs, haha, although i am like sitting 93.3m away, but i think i saw it clearly...

What a horrible week...

Exams are coming and what can be worse than that ? Plenty.



This has been a hell week for me as there are stuffs yet to be done. MS fittings and hair evaluation took up the previous little time that i have. Time is somehow wasted here and there because of it... haiz... went all the way down to orchard from ntu to realise that they just want to see the length of the hair and since mine being short, i don have to cut nor style. Then, all of a sudden must go down to the Crocodile house at Ubi to try out some clothes. HAiz... another mistake as i agreed to a "AA" outfit which i don't think i will wear it out after the whole thing... was thinking, since it was free why not get something decent... but i guess is too late now... Arghhh...



Then the day before i couldn't find my windbreaker (ok lah, grace called it sweater). Was kind of sad for a moment as it has been my favourite and nicest ever. Since NTU is blasting the aircon everywhere as if the electricity is free, i got to bring out the ugly windbreaker that i have for last last sem. Luckily for me, that night, Zhongming sms me to tell me that my windbreaker is in his room all the while... i was like... dui... how could i be so careless ?



Then, for the entrepreneurship minor. A group of people will not be progressing together with the res tas they got EID, Professional Attachment and stuffs... if they knew all this is coming, why did they signed up for this minor? Like before, i can't take it when there are people in the team who quits halfway... it would some how pull down the morale of the team. I have, however, gotten used to it. I guess, in the many more upcoming competitions and races, such thing will happen again and again. And, probably, i will be the one who quit. Hopefully not...



Last but not least, the hall thing is still a problem. Since jianfeng chose to stay with yiquan, i am now lost. Shld i go to hall 16 and stay there not knowing anybody? or shld i stay in hall 4 and try to engage in hall stuffs again ?? Where shld i stay ?? where ? where ? where ?
Then, it has not been a fruitful week. Not much studies has been done. SAd. Stress. Tired. What to do ?

Me and Mini near Nanyang Audit...

Exams are coming... And this is going to be my 4th exam in NTU. So, in a way or another, i am almost half way there, 3 more exams and 1 IA and i will be gone. Yesterday went Weenam with Tzeshan and Grace, hmmm, just found that i have fell in love, that is, in love with my Structure textbook. It doesn't seems that diffcult - but it is lah... Since the momentum is here, i guess i have to make good use of it...

Taken at NIE on Wednesday, it was raining hence it created a dreamy feel...

Another thing i wanna talk abt is this group of people. About 8 of them. Mainly guys. They are not far from me as i can see and hear them clearly from where i am. It seems like the exams are over for them. Instead of serious mugging, they are always enagaged in some form of disturbing activities. The "pong-chi-hoo" is the worst as the effects can attack me from the left, the right and even opposite. If it is normal days, it would be alright. But now...

Was @ NIE yesterday...

Well, i was studying at NIE Library yesterday when i came across these books...

Who can forget the hao gong ming textbook... heehee...

And the textbook that was used for physics when i was in sec 1 or 2 or was it 3 or 4 ?hmmm... forgot liao...

Ate @ West Mall's Sakae Sushi today...

Woo hoo... went to West Mall's Sakae Sushi to eat with Denis, Chongmeng and Grace. Spent $16 there, was a good meal, especially with the steam egg, the takoyachi, the soba, the miso soup, and not to forget, the many sushi !! Had waited for Denis to finish class, which was by the time, 4.15pm. Then, we actually backtracked to Canteen A, hoping to grab a cab. We walked and we walked. All the way till we reached Canteen 2 then did we manage to flagged down one. It was already about 4.50pm or something. So we got about 1hr or so to finish our food... it is more than enough... And not to forget the entertainment provided by the little gal who sat behind me... sooooo cute.... hahaha... somemore she know how to pose for my camera...

After dinner, we walked a bit and then explored the OP shop. Saw this slipper and we all decided to have a pair. Some more, same colour. As the WM shop don't have size 10, the 4 of us then took 174 back to boon lay, back to our beloved Jurong point's OP to make our purchase.



Managed to catch the last half an hour of "never say die" where past rejected contestants of reality shows like "superhost", "staridol" and "superstar" were invited back to try again. It is kind of cruel to see them being joked around. Really. I felt bad laughing at them but then, it is rather entertaining.

Last weekend, tried dragonboating with the SR Alumni. Well, we didn't manage to get into the finals but it sure was a memorable one. But then, it remined me of the decision that i have made... not to join canoeing in ntu, did i make the right choice?

坦诚相对

I don feel good. There are somethings which i don really desire anymore. So, let be it ba... coz change is the only constant thing that is happening around us. I want to grow up, but in me, there's another kid. So how ? Where should i place myself ?

Then, there are some people who only thought of themselves. Darm. Living at the same place is not easy especially since we are easily affected by one another, be it the music or whatever. I know, to be tolerant is one thing, but continuous bombarding from their side is another. Imagine, slamming the door 5 times at 7am when everyone is still asleep. I don't think i can view them as of before.

What a Wah-week ...

This week is a killer. Really. Especially with the career fair and the converse fashion show and the odac trip booth and the tech comm report. Darm, i was like running around NTU trying to squeez some time here and there. But never the less it is over, and i can say, it sure is a good experience. Really give me a feeling of what it is like to be multi tasking in the real life. So comes Friday, supposing to be a relaxing day. Well, in the end, it still is a relaxing day. Just that nothing much was achieved as well. Haiz...

The career fair was a problem. A big problem. As Joelle couldn't come down to NTU herself, i have to help her alias with the people. So, i can't concentrate well on my studies, luckily i don't have lessons on tuesday. All the people who were suppose to come did so, and they all gave me problems of various degrees. At one moment of time, i had this tendency to leave and forgot about everything. But, i couldn't. Round 11.30am, i had to rush to Canteen B to get ready for the converse fashion show. I managed to get Keith into this as well, that is so nice of Rachael. The show was finished in less than 5minutes. Easy job indeed. Then after which, i rushed back to NYA, to find Tianhe, Minh and Xiaoqi ready for the tech comm discussion. Then i was like still struck with the surveyor thing. So, as i try to finish my Big Mac, i try to finish up what i have to do. Then, i we went to the CITS lab to do up the report. Eventually, the surveyors brought back the survey forms and the report was half done.


Then come thursday. Another crazy day. Joelle was uncontactable from 9am till 11.30am. And for one moment, i was so pissed with her that i almost wanted to hang pig head at her office's door. So i headed for the Geotechnics Lab to do up the experiment, but, it was completed when i reach, so i just stay around. Suddenly i got a sms from a foreign number, it turns out to be Joelle... Arghhh... i rushed back to NYA to find her, i kept my cool. I passed the survey forms to her and the other stuffs. Managed to get somebody to take charge of the surveyors and i was like... woooooo... freedom... but i still got a lot of phone calls and SMS from donno-who.

I rushed to Canteen A to chill up for a while. Leong Seng was at the table too. The OBS experience that we had just raked up many memories. Time flew past and it was time to go. This time round, the Converse fashion show was at Canteen A and the OCBC booth was facing the ODAC booth. So, meaning people at the ODAC booth will be able to see me. Mixed feeling. Really. Don't know what to say. When i was walking down the runway, i heard some cheers... or was it not... haha... something that was expected. This time round, i had to change into 3 shirts and walked 3 times. More hectic than the day before, but more fun. It was finished in a flash. Then it was time for the goodies. Hee hee... managed to get $30 for both days, plus a pair of Converse shoe, a OCBC goodies bag. I would say is easy money and indeed it was a great experience.

Now, next week seems to be impossible as well. Still got tons of stuffs to do... Die-d...

Darm... how could i have missed out seeing my name on the schedule, i was suppose to do the 12.30-1.30pm slot... but then... i didn't see that... so in the end didn't go... was feeling darm paisei... haha... careless lah me... "fortunately" for me, i have another slot at 2.30pm which is in a few minutes time... so will be rushing there soon ba.


I can predict my wednesday and thursday to be very chaotic, as i have many things happening at the same time. I wonder whether i will survive not...
